Erich Kunst

Erich Kunst, CCM, currently serves as the Director of Rail Operations at M&J Engineering, where leadership is provided to a team of Rail Inspectors and Engineers, focusing on railroad construction and infrastructure improvement projects. With extensive experience totaling over three decades, Erich previously held the position of Project Manager at the Connecticut Department of Transportation, specializing in railroad signaling and significant capital improvement projects, including the $186 million Positive Train Control (PTC) Implementation on the New Haven Line. Earlier roles included serving as a Transportation Engineer, overseeing major highway rehabilitation projects and movable bascule bridges, as well as a Mechanical Engineering Professional, where Erich managed various capital construction projects across industries. Erich holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Haven.
