Allie Karas

Allie Karas has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media and editorial industry. Allie currently holds the position of Vice President, Content at MJH Life Sciences™, where they have been since August 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Editorial Director at the same company from March 2020 to August 2021. Allie also worked as the Associate Editorial Director, Health Care Specialty Group from September 2019 to March 2020, and as the Managing Editor, Contagion from December 2018 to September 2019.

Before joining MJH Life Sciences™, Allie was employed at Newsmax Media, Inc. from January 2016 to December 2018. During their time there, they held the position of Digital Content Manager, where they implemented and executed special content projects and managed multiple sections of Newsmax.com. Allie also worked as the Digital News Producer from January 2013 to December 2015, where they managed a team, generated story topics, and edited content.

Allie gained valuable experience as an Intern in the Local Integrated Media Team at NBCUniversal Media, LLC from August 2012 to December 2012. Allie produced content for local NBC affiliate websites and summarized wire stories for the US & World blog page on NBCNY.com.

During their time as a student at New York University from September 2011 to December 2012, Allie also took on various roles, including being a Digital Intern at Good Housekeeping magazine. Allie assisted with idea generation and visual mockups for the magazine's redesign and transcribed interviews for editorial assistants.

Allie started their career at Community News Service, a hyperlocal private newspaper group in central NJ, where they worked as a Reporter/Editor from May 2010 to August 2011. Allie was involved in every aspect of production, including creating story budgets, assigning stories, shooting and editing photos and videos, and designing pages.

Allie's educational background includes studying at Rider University from September 2007 to May 2011. During their time there, they also served as the Executive Editor of The Rider News, the university's weekly student paper. As the Executive Editor, they managed a staff of editors and was responsible for writing and reporting complex stories and editorials. Additionally, Allie worked as a Freelance Reporter for the Trenton Times from September 2008 to September 2009.
