John T.C. Lee

John T.C. Lee serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of MKS Instruments since October 2007, leading the company in providing innovative instruments and process control solutions for advanced manufacturing. Prior to this role, John T.C. Lee held several positions at Applied Materials from 2002 to 2007, including President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as Senior Vice President for Business Units. John T.C. Lee's earlier experience includes serving as Director at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies from 1996 to 2002, and as a Member of Technical Staff and Technical Manager at AT&T Bell Labs from 1991 to 1996. Academic qualifications include a PhD and MSCEP in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
