Kasey Zeng

Kasey (KC) Zeng is a highly experienced engineer specializing in laser systems and optical technologies, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at MKS Instruments since January 2022. Kasey has a proven track record in designing and manufacturing high-power lasers and introducing new laser products. Previously, Kasey held senior engineering roles at II-VI Inc., focusing on InP-based edge emitting lasers and photodetectors, and at Maxim Integrated, where Kasey led a systems engineering team for optical sensor devices, including contributions to the Galaxy series smartphones. Earlier positions at Cypress Semiconductors and Sunrise Telecom involved technical leadership in optical sensor design and fiber optics instruments respectively. Kasey holds a Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics from Kansas State University and both a BS and MS in Semiconductor Physics from Nankai University.
