John Avagliano is a board member of MLOGICA, LLC and also serves as the Chief Operating and Finance officer. John brings over two decades of merger and acquisitions, operations, finance and senior management experience across a broad spectrum of industries; including music, film, cosmetics, apparel, and health care, to his role as MLOGICA COO/CFO. He has also managed Information Technology departments while working in these industries where Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Technology Officers (CTO) reported to him.
He most recently worked on the M&A of Image Entertainment and Millennium Entertainment with private equity firms; acquired, managed and sold to Robert L Johnson Entertainment (BET founder) and private investors.
John was formerly at Warner Music Group (WMG) where he was Senior Vice President, Financial Operations. As SVP, he was responsible for financial oversight of global manufacturing, distribution and print businesses, worldwide financial planning and analysis, U.S. advertising procurement, real estate management, offices services support, and U.S. purchasing activities.
Prior to WMG, John was Chief Financial Officer at Warner Home Video (WHV). In addition to managing the overall finance function at WHV, he led negotiations for acquiring and distributing independent theatrical and TV content; this included PBS, Discovery Channel, BBC, and National Geographic.
John received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business. He maintains strong ties with Wharton through his participation as a member of the Wharton Secondary School Advisory Board.
Prior to his current role, John had a long association with MLOGICA as member of our Board of Advisors.
John and his wife live in New Jersey.
