Bekel Mekuria possesses extensive experience in the food and beverage sector, currently serving as the Director at FBPIDI since October 2014, where responsibilities include planning, coordinating, leading, and controlling all activities related to food, in addition to spearheading food fortification efforts. Previously, Bekel held the positions of Acting GM and Head of the Quality & Research Department at Kaliti Food Share Company from March 2003 to April 2011, focusing on food research and quality control. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Food Engineering obtained from Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution.
