Ameet Neelakantan has extensive experience in the maritime engineering field, serving as a Second Assistant Engineer at MMS Maritime since December 2020, following a position as Fourth Engineer at The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd. from July 2018 to December 2021. Ameet's career began with Gulf Energy Maritime, progressing from Junior Engineer roles between January 2013 and December 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing independent watchkeeping during operations and various equipment overhauls. Involved in projects on vessels such as Gulf Crystal and Gulf Coast, Ameet handled tasks including auxiliary engine repairs, boiler inspections, and maintenance operations. Ameet also gained foundational experience as a Trainee at Bharti Shipyard Ltd., participating in the construction of an Anchor Handling Tug Vessel and assisting in sea trials. Ameet graduated with a degree in Marine Engineering from Tolani Maritime Institute.
