Marcin Kowiel

Graduated in Mathematics and graduated in Computer Science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In 2015 has became doctor of philosophy in the field of pharmacy at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. During his scientific career was working with digital holography (Oulu Southern Institute, Ylivieska, Finland), crystalograhy of small organic substances (Poznan University of Medical Sciences), bioinformatics, modeling and validation of protein crystal structures (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences). During internship at University of Virgina, USA, was developing the machine learning models for ligand recognition in protein crystal structures. Author of more than 22 scientific publications.

Since 2012 web application software developer in Python, since 2016 was working in cyber security field (F-Secure), first as software engineer and later as senior data scientist and line manager. Was responsible for team managment, big data analysis (Spark), development of machine learning models (scikit-learn) in the cloud environment (AWS). Enthusiast of Agile methods, Scrum and Kamban.

In his free time likes to drive a bike, travel, and take photos.
