Mark Chan

Mark Chan is an experienced tax professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Group Head of Tax at MNRB Group since April 2024. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Tax Partner at Deloitte Asia Pacific from August 2017 to April 2024, specializing in Financial Services Tax and leading the tax practice in Ipoh as well as the Japan Service Group for the Malaysian market. Mark's career also includes significant roles such as Tax Director at HL Management Co Sdn Bhd, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive taxation matters, and a Director position at Beacon Ridge Business Solutions, focusing on GST implementation and corporate income tax advisory. Earlier experience includes serving as Vice President of the Group Tax Unit at AmBank and as Tax Manager at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants, where Mark developed expertise across diverse industries including financial services, property development, manufacturing, retail, and hospitality. Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Universiti Putra Malaysia and completed high school at St. Michael's Institution in Ipoh.
