Head of Weed Biology at MoA Technology

Mark B. has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Mark is currently the Head of Weed Biology at MoA Technology, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Mark worked at Bayer Crop Science as the European Product Development Manager from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, Mark was the Research Group Leader at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company from 2011 to 2014, where they managed global projects, implemented reorganization programs, and led day-to-day operations at UK research stations. Mark also served as the Lead Scientist for the company's Global Naturals R&D, overseeing EU product registration for biopesticides.

Mark's earlier experience includes working as an Academic Fellow in Sports Surface Technology at Cranfield University from 2006 to 2011. Mark'sresearch focused on sustainable sports surfaces, soil biota and function, and soil properties for high-quality playing surfaces. Mark also worked as the Managing Partner at Stondon Road Nurseries from 2001 to 2006, where they were responsible for buying matters, production logistics, quality assurance, and landscape design.

Mark B. has a diverse education history. Mark attended Cranfield University from 2009 to 2011, where they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Further Education, focusing on Andragogy. Prior to that, they pursued a PhD in Soil Ecology at Cranfield University from 2004 to 2006. In 2002, Mark studied at Newcastle University, obtaining an MSc in Environmental Consultancy. Lastly, from 1998 to 2001, they attended Durham University, where they earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology.
