Nikeland Nichols has extensive experience in community health and leadership. Currently serving as a Community Health Worker at the Mobile County Health Department since May 2017, Nikeland has demonstrated a commitment to improving public health. In addition, Nikeland has been the Executive Director of P.U.S.H. Inc. (Persevering Under Severe Hindrance) since 2005, showcasing leadership skills and dedication to community service. Nikeland holds a degree from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, attended from 1995 to 2000, and graduated from John S. Shaw High School between 1992 and 1995.

The Mobile County Health Department is here to provide a healthy, safe, prepared and educated community. Our mission is to promote, improve and protect the overall health of Mobile County. We hope to accomplish this by enhancing revenue, strengthening organizational employment cycles, improving data management systems, increasing department effectiveness, boosting marketing and community image, as well as influencing health policies. As your Medical Home we offer you a care team dedicated to your health. Your team may include your provider (doctor, nurse practitioner, dentist, etc.), nurse, nutritionist, counselor and case manager. Everyone that can help provide you great health care is a team member, including you.
