Angela Parker Petrus

Angela Parker Petrus has extensive experience in the field of education and community development. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Mt. Pleasant Community Development Corporation since March 2015, Angela contributes to providing essential services and opportunities within the community. As the Chair of the Mathematics Peer Group at LCTCS since March 2014 and an instructor of Mathematics Developmental Studies at Louisiana Delta Community College since January 2004, Angela is dedicated to supporting non-traditional students. Additionally, Angela has worked as a Mathematics Educator for the Mobile County Public School System since August 2019 and previously served as a Mathematics Instructor at Beekman Charter School from August 2016 until November 2021. Angela holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
