Thomas Barry has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Thomas started their career in 2008 as an Information Systems Technician in the United States Navy, where they installed, operated, and maintained various information systems. In 2011, they worked as a Server Support Tech at CPSI.
In 2012, Thomas joined the Mobile County Public School System as a Network Technician, where they performed network maintenance, installation, and implementation of server systems. Thomas also worked with Active Directory and was responsible for configuring and troubleshooting the implementation of BYOD at various locations.
In 2017, Thomas was promoted to the role of Network Specialist at the same organization. In this role, they focused on designing, deploying, and supporting a secure LAN/WAN infrastructure. Thomas also provided training and high-level support to field technicians and network specialists. Later, in 2021, they became an Information Technology Project Manager, overseeing IT projects, managing the IT department vehicle fleet, and training technical staff. Thomas also served as the IT liaison on business and technical aspects of projects.

Thomas Barry obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Faulkner University from the year 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Security from American Military University from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, Thomas attended the University of South Alabama from 1997 to 1999, studying Criminal Justice/Police Science.
In terms of certifications, Thomas received their CCNA certification from Cisco in June 2014 and their A+ certification from CompTIA in May 2014.
