Jen Laloup

Co-Founder, Chairwoman & CEO at Mobile Growth Association

Jen Laloup has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jen is currently the Co-Founder, Chairwoman & CEO at Mobile Growth Association (MGA), where they oversee the implementation of a new hybrid events structure and advances equality and diversity issues within the Mobile Industry. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at MGA, focusing on providing mobile growth professionals with content and community events. Jen also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at MGA.

Before MGA, Laloup worked as the Managing Director at Flash Bright Media, a boutique agency specializing in digital and content marketing for small businesses. Jen also served as the Head of Content Development and Operations at Bunker Capital, a blockchain consulting and advisory firm. At Bunker Capital, Laloup was involved in various roles including hiring, editing, project management, marketing, and operations.

Laloup gained experience in media management and editorial roles at Public Library of Science (PLOS), where they founded the Editorial Media Group and contributed to the growth and distribution of press releases. Jen also worked as the Editorial Manager and Publications Manager at PLOS ONE, overseeing journal operations, managing teams, and implementing press strategies.

Earlier in their career, Laloup served as an Editorial Research Intern at Wired Magazine and as a Production Assistant at The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, where they researched news pieces and assisted with various tasks for the science unit.

Laloup's work experience also includes their role as the International World Music Director at KCSU from 2001 to 2005.

Throughout their career, Laloup has demonstrated expertise in team management, operations, media relations, project management, and content development.

Jen Laloup attended Colorado State University from 2000 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism and Technical Communication with a concentration in TV News & Video Communication. During the same period, they also obtained another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Speech Communication, focusing on Speech Communication and Rhetoric. In 2013 and 2014, Jen furthered their education at the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Certificate of Leadership and Management. More recently, they completed a certificate program in Digital Marketing at the University of California, Berkeley, with an unspecified start year and an end year of 2020.
