Alexey Katunin

Alexey Katunin serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Controlling Director at MTS Group since October 2009, managing operational finance across six countries with an annual revenue exceeding USD 8 billion and overseeing a USD 1.5 billion investment portfolio. Katunin has played a significant role in launching and managing international investment projects, contributing financial analysis and budgeting that bolstered the company's market position in Russia, Belarus, and Armenia, notably through USD 5 billion 4G investments. Prior experience includes roles as Financial Controller and Lead Economist at Troika Dialog, along with internships at the Center for Macroeconomic Analysis and Short-term Forecasting. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, a Master's Degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics, and a Certificate of Accomplishment in Leadership Development from Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Currently, Katunin is pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies, Management at Harvard University, having also attended a summer program at Harvard in 2022.
