Rakesh Sharrma has a wealth of experience in the tech and business industries. In 1998, they began their career as an Area Sales Manager at Tata Steel, where they were responsible for Business Development and Sales in the northern part of India. During their two-year tenure, they were able to turn the sales branch from Rank 22 to Rank 2, with a sales growth from USD 6 mil to USD 120 mil. In 2000, they became the COO at ECircle Technologies. In 2004, they became the Co-Founder & COO (Int'l) at Opelin Inc (acquired by HP). During their time there, they were responsible for the India Development Center, which included Product development and testing, as well as business development in Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2007, they joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they held the roles of Director of Cloud Services and Director of HP Online Services. In 2011, they founded Mobilous Inc, where they created AI-based Enterprise solutions, such as the Handwriting Recognition App and the Voice Recognition App. Rakesh was also responsible for the recognition algorithm, which was not just image-recognition but pen-stroke recognition, reducing error correction efforts by 80%.

Rakesh Sharrma began their educational journey in 1974 when they attended St Xavier's School in Ranchi. In 1984, they completed their Intermediate degree in Science at St. Xavier's College. Rakesh then went on to attend BIT Mesra Student-Industry Relations Cell, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical & Electronics in 1991. Finally, in 1993, Rakesh Sharrma completed their PGDM in Marketing and Systems at XLRI Jamshedpur.
