Douglas Nyaribo

Douglas Nyaribo has over 10 years of work experience in quality management, product engineering, and process engineering. From 2014 to present, they have been employed at Mobius Motors as a Quality Manager. In this role, they are responsible for supervising and motivating a team of Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians, overseeing plant quality operations, maintaining quality metrics, developing and maintaining plant quality procedures, championing continuous improvement programs, maintaining company quality standards, and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines and legal obligations.

Prior to their employment at Mobius Motors, Nyaribo was employed at Isuzu East Africa Limited from 2010 to 2014. During this time, they held three different roles: Product Engineer (Vehicle Tests & Systems Validation), Product Engineer (Supplier Quality Engineer), and Process Engineer. In their role as Product Engineer (Vehicle Tests & Systems Validation), they managed a team of Vehicle Tests Technicians and Intern Engineers, acted as a SAP superuser, created and managed Vehicle Assembly Bills of Materials, developed and recommended raw materials for new products, implemented Product Change Requests, resolved customer field problems, launched new products, conducted vehicle testing and evaluation, and supported product experiential tests and demonstration programs. As a Product Engineer (Supplier Quality Engineer), they managed a team of Product Development Technicians and Intern Engineers, acted as a SAGE systems superuser, managed Vehicle Assembly Bills of Materials, validated and developed raw materials, and sourced, developed, and maintained suppliers through supplier audit. As a Process Engineer, they prepared and maintained assembly instructions and process datasheets, analyzed and resolved production process problems in the production line, and developed process layouts, defining operation methods and sequence of the workflow.

Douglas Nyaribo has a diverse educational background. Douglas obtained an O level- K.C.S.E from Menengai High School- Nakuru in 2002. Douglas then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Manufacturing Engineering from Kenyatta University, which they completed in 2009. In 2012, they obtained a Proficiency in AUTODESK INVENTOR from Numerical Machining Complex Ltd. and a Kaizen Training from Kaizen Institute Consulting Group, Ltd. the following year. In 2013, they obtained an ISO 18001:2007 OHSAS Internal Auditor certification with IOSHEM from IOSHEM Africa Limited and an ISO 14001:2004 EMS Internal Auditor Course from SGS. Douglas also obtained an ISO 9001:2008 QMS Internal Auditor from Kenya Bureau of Standards and an APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC - Online training from AIAG - Automotive Industry Action Group. Finally, they obtained a MA - Project Planning & Management from the University of Nairobi in 2015. Douglas also has a SAP Super User [Engineering SME] certification from General Motors.
