Karla Curiel

Karla Curiel has over 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. In 2020, they began working as the Director of Finance for Technivorm-Moccamaster USA, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as an Accountant for JAMES L. SHOOK, CPA P.C. from 2014 to 2020, where they prepared federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, compiled financial statements according to GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting as the in-charge accountant, assisted clients in implementing efficient accounting procedures, processed payroll, deposited payroll taxes, and prepared federal and Oregon returns. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Accountant for Whitworth & Becker, LLP, where they prepared federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations, and audited and compiled financial statements according to GAAP and other comprehensive bases of accounting as the in-charge accountant. From 2005 to 2012, they worked as an Enrollment Specialist for Portland Community College.

Karla Curiel has a Master of Taxation from Portland State University - School of Business, which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. Karla also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Portland State University, which they earned from 2008 to 2011.
