Becca Anderson possesses extensive experience in youth programs and violence prevention, currently serving as the Coordinator of Youth Programs at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since November 2015. In this role, Becca supervises youth program specialists, develops violence prevention curricula for educational institutions, and provides critical crisis intervention and support via a 24-hour hotline. Previous roles include Prevention Specialist at MOCSA, where Becca facilitated educational workshops on healthy relationships and implemented violence prevention programs in local schools. Becca's background in social work is complemented by a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Additional experience includes various positions in hospitality and community organizing, highlighting a strong commitment to advocacy and education in sexual violence prevention.

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
