Lauren Beck

Lauren Beck currently serves as the Program Services Coordinator at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since February 2014, contributing valuable expertise in program coordination. Prior to this role, Lauren was a Campaign Liaison at the United Way of Greater Kansas City for a brief period in late 2013. An early career involved tutoring at the Math Help Center at Hendrix College and providing administrative support as an Office Assistant in the Academic Support office at Hendrix College from 2010 to 2013. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Statistics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2016-2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Spanish from Hendrix College (2009-2013).

Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA)

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
