Matt Stafford

Matt Stafford has a diverse work experience in the software engineering and game development industry. Matt currently works as a Senior Engineer at mod.io, where they maintain the Unreal Engine & C++ SDKs for the mod.io platform and contributes to various cloud projects.

Before their current role, they were a Technical Director at Pub Games, where they were responsible for high-level planning, design, and development of projects in languages such as C++, C#, and UnrealScript. Matt also implemented platform-specific features for iOS and Android using Unreal Engine 3.

Prior to that, Matt worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Omny Studio, where they contributed to software development projects. Matt also held the position of a Senior Engineer (.NET) at Gridstone, where they worked from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to their industry roles, Matt has also been involved in teaching. Matt worked as a Sessional Teacher at Chisholm Institute in 2012 and at Swinburne University of Technology from July to November 2012.

Before transitioning into professional roles, Matt gained experience in game development. Matt worked as a Programmer at Action Mobile Games from October to December 2011. Matt also held the positions of Lead Programmer at Team Chivalry from July 2008 to April 2010 and Co-Founder/Lead Programmer at Canvas Team from January to July 2008. Matt started their career in the industry as a Project Lead/Lead Programmer at NightFall Team from July 2005 to March 2007.

Matt Stafford completed their education at various institutions. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Swinburne University of Technology and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia (Games & Interactivity) and a Bachelor's degree in Science (Computer Science and Software Engineering). Their field of study was focused on Game Development. During their time at Swinburne University, they also obtained a Certificate IV Financial Services from Origin HR in 2011.

In 2013, Stafford enrolled at Axiom College and completed a Certificate IV Training and Assessment. Additionally, they acquired a first aid certification (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid) from St John Ambulance in February 2022.

In terms of secondary education, Stafford attended Mornington Secondary College from 2001 to 2006, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
