Linzee McCray is a seasoned writer, author, speaker, and curator with extensive experience in the fields of textiles, craft, and the arts. Self-employed since 2009 and operating Linzee Kull McCray Writing and Editing since 1988, Linzee has contributed to various publications and authored notable works such as "Feed Sacks: A Colourful History of a Frugal Fabric" and "Art Quilts of the Midwest." As a presenter, Linzee delivers illustrated talks on topics related to these publications. Additionally, Linzee works as an independent pattern and fabric designer, collaborates with museums on curatorial projects, and held editorial positions at the University of Iowa, where Linzee also taught magazine writing. Linzee holds master's degrees in Journalism and Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Iowa, along with a bachelor's degree in English from St. Olaf College.
