Travis Bottalico has worked in the software engineering field for over 15 years. In 2019, they joined ModalAI as a Staff Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Treeline Interactive / Avimesa as a Senior Engineer, Embedded and Distributed Systems. Travis'sresponsibilities included systems architecture and development, hardware and industrial design, product design, firmware architecture and development, server architecture and development and hosted JavaScript device runtime based on JerryScript. From 2005 to 2017, they worked at SKF Group as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer. Travis'sresponsibilities included embedded work with Bluetooth LE and iOS/Windows SDK development, Wi-Fi IoT sensor development, Bluetooth LE interface for Windows for a wireless vibration sensor calibration, industrial protection system development, wireless vibration sensor prototype development, cross platform development, project engineering for the SKF Microlog Inspector product line, and mobile dashboard web app development.

Travis Bottalico attended UC San Diego from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Travis also holds certifications in C# Programming from UCSD Extensions and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance.
