Kristi Hakkaja

CEO, co-founder at Moderan

Kristi Hakkaja began their career as a Counsellor at the Secretariat of Research and Development Council in the Republic of Estonia in 2003. Kristi then worked as an intern at New Economy Strategies in 2006 before becoming an Associate at New Markets Growth Fund from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2009, Kristi served as an Investment Manager at Ambient Sound Investments. Kristi then took on the roles of CEO and Sales Director at Oskando from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they were the Managing Director of TaxiPal, where they developed an award-winning mobile app for finding and ordering local taxis. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Business Manager at BCS itera, responsible for delivering ERP solutions in the professional services industry. In 2012, Kristi co-founded and served as the CEO of HealthDiary OÜ. Currently, they are the CEO and co-founder of Moderan, an online software company that helps commercial real estate owners and managers maximize their revenue and asset value.

Kristi Hakkaja completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from the University of Tartu from 1998 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Science and Technology Policy at The George Washington University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Kristi obtained the certification in Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations from Microsoft in December 2011.
