Kunal Basu-Dutta is a seasoned professional in digital marketing and strategy, currently serving as a Founding Partner at Modern Bay Strategies since August 2020. Prior experience includes roles at Tom Steyer PAC, where Kunal held positions as Digital Director and Digital Content Director, and at Tom Steyer 2020 as Email Director. Kunal's expertise spans various campaigns, including involvement as Digital Director for Swalwell for America and transitional digital roles for Swalwell for Congress. Additional experience includes consulting for Revolver Magazine and volunteering as a Digital Marketing Consultant for WWF Vietnam. Kunal's career began with social media management at Amazon and digital marketing efforts for the University of Chicago. Kunal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Classical Languages from the University of Chicago.

Our Black-led team has decades of experience working on digital campaigns across the public, private, and political sectors. We’ve personally experienced the undeniable gap in the digital world when it comes to understanding Black, brown, queer, and other marginalized voices. There are so many missed opportunities to reach people and tell the right story. Our work is to help create, share, and tell those stories. This includes: website design, graphic design, social/digital ads, email development, and digital coaching.
