Donnie Whitten

Donnie Whitten, Ed.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the education sector. Donnie is currently the Head of National Partnerships at Modern Classrooms Project, where they empower educators to implement a research-backed instructional model. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President at Apptegy from 2019 to 2023.

From 1997 to 2019, Whitten worked at Arkadelphia Public Schools, starting as a Teacher and progressing to roles such as Principal, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and ultimately Superintendent. During this time, they gained extensive experience in educational leadership and curriculum development.

Additionally, Whitten has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Henderson State University, teaching Educational Leadership courses from 2000 to 2008. Donnie Whitten, Ed.D. holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Arkansas, obtained between 2007 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership at Henderson State University from 2003 to 2005. In 2000, they earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from the same institution. Furthermore, Whitten holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, obtained from Henderson State University between 1990 and 1995. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in P-12 District Level Leadership from the Arkansas Department of Education.
