Ahmed Fekry

Ahmed Fekry is an experienced mechanical engineer specializing in offshore drilling equipment and operations. Currently serving as Chief Mechanic Offshore at Modern Drilling Company since August 2023, Fekry manages the mechanical aspects of the Jackup Rig BAHARI 1, overseeing systems including the Amphion system, draw works, mud pumps, and engines. Prior to this role, Fekry worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Egyptian Drilling Company from February 2018 to June 2023, focusing on offshore operations and mechanical systems. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Mechanical Engineer at National Egyptian Drilling & Petroleum Services Co. from February 2014 to January 2017, where Fekry was responsible for overhauling drilling equipment and diesel engines. Fekry holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Zagazig University, obtained between 2007 and 2012.
