Brian Tom

Brian Tom has an extensive work history in various roles related to aviation and military operations. Brian has held positions such as Deputy Chief of Staff at the California State Guard, Vice President for Operations at Practical Aeronautics, and Test Navigator/Test Director at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. Additionally, they have served in roles like Chief of Safety at the Air Force Test Center and Associate Dean at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. Their experience ranges from leadership positions to flight test engineering roles.

Brian Tom completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry with a Specialization in Earth Science / Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from UC San Diego in 1991. Brian then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Management from The George Washington University in 1999. Brian later pursued a Master's degree (MS) in Applied Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management in 2006. Lastly, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009.
