Brian Tom completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry with a Specialization in Earth Science / Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from UC San Diego in 1991. Brian then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Management from The George Washington University in 1999. Brian later pursued a Master's degree (MS) in Applied Physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology-Graduate School of Engineering & Management in 2006. Lastly, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2009.
