Modern Times Beer
Derek Dawson has extensive experience in the brewing and technology industries, currently serving as the Quality Control Laboratory Manager at Modern Times Beer since 2019, after initially working as a Brewer there from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this, Derek held the position of Assistant Brewer at Council Brewing Co. in 2015, overseeing multiple aspects of the brewing process. Earlier career experiences include working as a Business Specialist at Apple Inc. from 2010 to 2014, where Derek advised businesses on technology integration, and as the Owner/Operator of Static Studio, which involved the design and operation of an audio production facility. Derek holds a degree in Music with a focus on Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts from the University of California, San Diego, earned in 2007.
