Diya Patel

Diya Patel is a research assistant at UCL Cancer Institute since October 2024 and concurrently serves as an academic tutor for Modern Tuition. Previous experience includes working as a research technician at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology's Moosajee Laboratory and as a research intern at The MetaLab in cognitive neuroscience. Diya has also held roles as a clinical trial assistant at the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology at UCL and as a research assistant at the UK Dementia Research Institute. Academic tutoring was provided at Notebook Tutors from March 2020 to May 2022. Diya's research experience includes investigating the neuropathology of Type 1 diabetes at UCL as an undergraduate student researcher. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from UCL and A levels in Sciences and Mathematics from VIBGYOR Group of Schools.
