Darin Edwards

Darin Edwards, PhD, serves as the Executive Director at Moderna since June 2019, where responsibilities include leading programs for COVID vaccines, managing seasonal vaccine composition updates, and spearheading next-generation vaccine development. Prior experience encompasses roles at Sanofi Pasteur from August 2011 to June 2019, where Darin held positions ranging from Associate Director to Senior Scientist, focusing on mRNA vaccine technology and the development of vaccines for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Associate at the University of Central Florida, where expertise in neuronal culture systems was developed, and various engineering positions at Gartner, contributing to software development and quality assurance. Darin holds a PhD and a Master's in Biomedical Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's in Biology, all from the University of Central Florida.
