Elissa Wilker

Elissa Wilker currently serves as Senior Director of Clinical Epidemiology and Informatics at Moderna since April 2022 and has held the role of Director of Epidemiology in R&D Strategy. Previously, Elissa was a Visiting Scientist and Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and worked as an Epidemiologist at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Associate Director of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Sanofi Genzyme. Early academic roles included Assistant Professor of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Research has focused on the impact of air pollution on cardiovascular and neurophysiologic function, as well as gene-environment interactions predicting cardiovascular outcomes. Elissa obtained a ScD in Environmental Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and holds a BA in East Asian Studies from Wesleyan University.
