Sanjay Garg

Sanjay Garg is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in clinical research and biomarker development in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Clinical Biomarkers for Infectious Diseases at Moderna since February 2023, Sanjay leads a team focused on biomarker strategies for various clinical programs. Prior to this role, a significant tenure at Sanofi from 2007 to 2023 involved positions such as Senior Expert Scientist and Platform Head, where Sanjay directed the selection of external testing partners for vaccine development and ensured compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Sanjay's expertise in immunology and translational medicine also extends to contributions in academic settings, with previous roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University. Sanjay holds a Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and a Master's in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
