Wan Sun

Wan Sun is currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Moderna since April 2025. Prior to this role, Wan Sun held multiple positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, including Senior Director of Clinical & Quantitative Pharmacology and Director of Clinical Pharmacology from September 2020 to April 2025. Experience also includes serving as Associate Scientific Director at Takeda and various roles at Pfizer, including Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology and Manager of Clinical Pharmacology. Wan Sun began a professional career as an ORISE fellow at the FDA, where work focused on developing disease models for Huntington's disease to inform clinical trial design. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in Pharmacology from Peking University.
