Margaret Shear has a strong background in design and leadership roles. Margaret is currently working as the Head of Design at Modern Life, where they oversee the design department. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Design at the same company, playing a key role in their tech-enabled insurance brokerage platform. Margaret also worked as an Advisor at ClimateCheck, focusing on climate-related issues.

In the past, Margaret held the position of Head of Design at Indify, where they helped music artists secure funding and make deals with investors. Before that, they worked as a Product Design Leader at Margaret Shear, their own company, for four years. Margaret also had stints as a Visiting Faculty at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and as a Creative Director at frog.

Margaret gained valuable experience as a Design Director at Condé Nast, where they led digital transformation projects for renowned media brands like The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. During their time at frog, they served as an Associate Creative Director and as a Principal Designer.

Margaret Shear attended Buckingham Browne & Nichols School from 1996 to 2000 for their high school education. From 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Society as well as Fine/Studio Arts, General at Stanford University.
