David Wei, MD, MS has a diverse work experience in the medical field. David began their career as a Resident Physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from July 2009 to August 2014. David then pursued further specialization as a Hand and Upper Extremity Fellow at Tufts Medical Center from August 2014 to August 2015. In September 2015, Dr. Wei joined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists where they held multiple roles including Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon, and Clinical Governance Board Member. David served on the Clinical Governance Board until July 2022. In March 2023, they started working as the Medical Director - Orthopedic Surgery at ModMed. Additionally, Dr. Wei has been actively involved with the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, holding positions such as Committee Chair and Vice Committee Chair for the Business of Hand Surgery.

David Wei, MD, MS obtained their Combined BS and MS degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry (MB&B) from Yale University from 2000 to 2004. David later pursued their medical education at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons from 2004 to 2009, earning an MD degree in Medicine.
