Kate Shen is a Public Engagement Coordinator at Metro Vancouver since October 2023 and serves as a Board Member at Modo, a co-operative focused on affordable and sustainable community connection. Previously, Kate held the position of Director of Partnerships and Events at HUB Cycling, managing key partnerships and major regional events from January 2021 to October 2023. Kate's experience includes roles as Partnerships and Events Manager and Events and Outreach Coordinator at The University of British Columbia, as well as research assistant positions in environmental studies at Jinan University and A*STAR. Additionally, Kate worked as a Regulatory Scientist at Yordas Group, where regulatory documents for the disinfectant landscape in Asia were prepared and updated. Kate holds a Master of Science from Lancaster University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from the University of Guelph, with further education through an exchange program at Lund University.
