Caroline VanDeusen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles.
Starting in 2004, they worked as the Public Relations Director at Murdock Banner Financial Group, where they successfully launched and implemented the marketing and public relations department.
From 2009 to 2011, Caroline worked as a Finance Administrator at Indiana Interactive, where they provided fiscal oversight and ensured timely reporting and disbursements. Caroline also uncovered recurring revenue through an internal audit and oversaw the customer support team.
In 2011, Caroline took on the role of Business Development Manager at NIC Services, playing a crucial role in launching and selling the proprietary software platform outside of enterprise state contracts. Their efforts contributed to the unit becoming the fifth largest revenue-generating business out of twenty-six.
From 2015 to 2017, Caroline worked as a Senior Account Executive at System Innovators, where they excelled in closing large enterprise SaaS deals. Caroline also conducted research on partnerships and acquisition targets, leading their to become familiar with PayIt.
In 2017, Caroline joined PayIt as the Managing Director, joining as an early hire and helping build the original go-to-market strategy, sales operations, and overall business development. Their contributions played a significant role in the company achieving explosive 1,000% growth and securing a $130M partial exit to Insight Partners in 2019.
Caroline then joined KCRise Fund in 2021 as a Principal, where they enjoyed identifying investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies with sales efforts and talent acquisition. Their focus spanned across various industries, including Transportation, GovTech, ClimateTech, HealthTech, AgTech, HRTech, and Web3/Crypto/NFT.
Most recently, they joined ModRN Health in 2022 as the Vice President - Strategic Partnerships, continuing their work in building strategic relationships and partnerships.
Caroline VanDeusen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Caroline also completed the Mansfield College Summer Business Program at the University of Oxford, where they studied European Economics and History of England. Prior to their college education, Caroline attended St. Pius X Catholic High School. In addition, they obtained a certification in ITIL in October 2014.
