Edward Sims

Edward Sims has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Edward began their career as an Infantry in the United States Marine Corps from September 2001 to September 2005. After that, they worked as a Security Officer at Fotokem from June 2009 to December 2015. In 2017, Edward joined TEKsystems as a Team Lead Field Services Technician/Desktop Support, where they managed and led Desktop Projects tasks. Later in 2017, they became the Team Lead Active Directory Remediation at Baylor Scott & White Health, where they were responsible for managing the remediation of an Active Directory consolidation effort. In 2018, they worked as an IT Support Analyst at the City of Austin before transitioning to the role of Security Administrator at Baylor Scott & White Health. Currently, Edward is an Information Technology Support Analyst at ModSquad, where they troubleshoot IT issues and assists in the management of Active Directory information.

Edward Sims has a diverse education history spanning different fields and certifications. In 2013 to 2015, they attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Pasadena and obtained an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts and Related Services. Following that, from 2016 to 2017, they attended New Horizons Computer Learning Center, where they earned Certifications in Information Technology. In 2018, they briefly attended MyComputerCareer to further enhance their skills in IT.

In addition to their formal education, Edward has obtained several certifications to supplement their knowledge. These include the CompTIA A+ Certification Exam 220-901 from Pearson VUE in March 2018, the Allegis Group Government Code of Conduct from AeroTek IT Solutions in March 2017, the HIPAA Privacy Training for Business Associates and TEKsystems Privacy and Information Security Training, both from TEKsystems in March 2017. Edward also earned a Certificate of Completion as a Security IT Professional from New Horizons Computer Learning Centers in February 2017. Edward has further demonstrated their expertise with the LPI Linux Essentials certification from the Linux Professional Institute, although the exact month and year of obtaining it are not specified.
