Stephen Shang

Stephen Shang serves as the Vice President and Treasurer at the Modular Building Institute since 2019, where responsibilities include chairing the Government Affairs Committee. Concurrently, Stephen is a member of the Engineering Advisory Board at the Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin, and has held the position of Vice-Presiding Officer of the Texas Industrialized Building Code Council since August 2022. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Falcon Structures, established in 2003, Stephen focuses on simplifying operations through the repurposing of shipping containers. Previous roles include speaking engagements at Camp Enterprise, board memberships with various organizations including Thinkery and the Rotary Club of Austin, and contributions to the Modular Building Institute as Co-Chair of the Container Task Force. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
