Emily Freed is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in supply chain management and agricultural operations. Currently serving as Supply Chain Director and Logistics Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County since 2020, Emily also advises Modular Science on building robots for organic agriculture. As the owner of FARMER FREED, a business focused on creating culinary salt blends with locally sourced ingredients, and previously holding various roles at Jacobs Farm / Del Cabo Inc., Emily oversaw significant organic crop production. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Communications and Spanish from the University of Oregon, along with a certificate in Ecological Horticulture from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
