Steven Schaffert

Steven Schaffert is a Principal Data Scientist at Modulo Bio, specializing in AI-driven drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases since June 2021. Steven leads the development of computer vision models for phenotypic screening, integrates public omics datasets to identify therapeutic pathways, and drives computational biology initiatives. Previously, Steven served as a Senior Data Scientist at Notable, where responsibilities included automating analysis of ex vivo drug sensitivity data, and as a Data Scientist/Biostatistician at Stanford University, focusing on deep learning applications in immunology. Steven's extensive background also includes multiple postdoctoral fellowships and research roles, culminating in a PhD in Immunology from Stanford University and a Bachelor's in Biology with a minor in Computer Science from Tufts University.
