Benjamin Wilson, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. Benjamin is currently working as the Head of AI Research at Modulus Labs since June 2023. Prior to this, they were the Co-founder & Chief Scientist at Lateral since December 2013. Benjamin has also worked as a Data science instructor at DataCamp from December 2016 to June 2022, where they taught more than 100k students about unsupervised learning in Python. Additionally, they have served as an Organiser for the Berlin Machine Learning Seminar from April 2014 to October 2019, facilitating technical discussions on machine learning. Before that, they worked as a Machine Learning Specialist at MBR targeting from February 2013 to October 2013 and as a Data scientist at tinyclues from January 2012 to October 2012. Benjamin also has research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Technische Universität München from June 2009 to June 2010 and as a Post-doctoral researcher at Université Denis Diderot (Paris VII) from September 2008 to September 2009.

Benjamin Wilson, PhD, obtained their Master's Degree in Pure Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Sydney, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Benjamin then pursued further education at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, earning their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pure Mathematics. Benjamin attended the university from 2004 to 2007.
