Joakim Örneblad has a diverse range of work experience. Joakim began their career in 2012 as a Technician at HSB. In 2013, they worked as a Site Management Intern at Veidekke Entreprenad AB. Joakim then returned to HSB in 2014 as a Service Technician. In 2015, they worked as a Concept Developer at the Innovation Office West, where they focused on the development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on entrepreneurship. Additionally, they worked as an Interviewer at MORE (Management of Organizational Renewal and Entrepreneurship).

In 2015, Joakim co-founded Modvion, a startup that provides disruptive technology for constructing wind turbine towers. Joakim held various roles within Modvion, including Co-Founder, Board Member, and Business Developer. Joakim also participated in the MassChallenge Boston as a finalist with Modvion in 2016.

Joakim joined the WSP company in 2017, where they held several roles. Joakim started as a Business Developer & Project Manager, focusing on innovation projects within T&I. Joakim then became the Innovation Programme Coordinator for WSP's global innovation program called Future Ready, identifying trends, new needs, and technology for the future. Joakim also served as a Startup Accelerator Champion, assessing and initiating cooperation with startups. Lastly, they became a Strategic Advisory and Management Consultant, working on business strategy, market analysis, and sales.

Throughout their career, Joakim has demonstrated skills in strategic advisory, project management, business development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Joakim has experience in the construction industry, music, and software development.

Joakim Örneblad began their education in 2009 at Musicians Institute, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Musik. Joakim then went on to attend Södra Vätterbygdens Folkhögskola (SVF) from 2010 to 2011, focusing on a musikerutbildning på eftergymnasial nivå (musical education at post-secondary level). In 2011, they enrolled at Chalmers University of Technology and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Civil engineering in 2014. Continuing their education, Joakim pursued a Master's degree with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Business Design from Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship, from 2014 to 2016.
