Michael Cortese

Michael Cortese is a highly experienced compliance professional currently serving as the Managing Director and Global Head of Compliance at Moelis & Company since January 2022. Previously, Michael held the position of Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase from August 2015 to December 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing Investment and Corporate Banking Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk. Prior to that, Michael worked at UBS for over two decades, culminating in the role of Managing Director in Compliance & Operational Risk Control, leading Corporate Client Solutions and Research Compliance, as well as Local Markets Compliance in the Americas. Michael holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business and a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University.
