Anders Emil Rasmussen is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University, focusing on strengthening collaboration between the Anthropology department and Moesgaard Museum, with research interests in materiality, craft, museum practice, and Oceania. In their role as Curator at Moesgaard Museum since 2016, Rasmussen has developed audience-friendly concepts for ethnographic content and engaged in research projects, including a major study funded by the VELUX Foundation on materialities of home among mobile groups. Previous positions include Acting Head of the Ethnographic Department, Postdoctoral Fellow roles at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo, and a PhD fellowship at Aarhus University, where Anders Emil completed a thesis that evolved into the book "In the Absence of the Gift." Rasmussen holds a PhD in Anthropology from Aarhus University and has also served as an examiner at Danmarks Pædagogiske Universitet.
