Wencke Maderbacher

Wencke Maderbacher serves as the Head of the Learning and Cultural Interaction Department at Moesgaard Museum since December 2018, leading educational and cultural interaction initiatives. Additionally, Wencke is an active board member of ICOM Denmark and holds several roles within ICOM CECA, including European Coordinator and National Correspondent for Austria, focusing on professional development for museum educators. As a museum consultant with Cultural Management & Training since February 2016, Wencke supports museums in navigating change and improving internal processes. Previously, Wencke held the role of Deputy Head of Department for Museum Education at Technisches Museum Wien for 15 years, emphasizing program renewal and strategic planning. Educational credentials include studies at Universität für Weiterbildung Krems, Institut für Kulturkonzepte - Universität Wien, and 1. Wiener Kunstschule.
