Sayantan Purkayastha

Sayantan Purkayastha currently serves as a Licensing Manager at Moffitt Cancer Center, having progressed through roles including Licensing Specialist II and Innovation Associate since October 2020. In this capacity, Sayantan engages with the patenting and licensing division, analyzing the patentability of cancer research and identifying industry partners to enhance technology advancements. Previous experience includes an internship at Protean Biodiagnostics Inc, focusing on market research for genetic testing products, as well as internships at the Indian Institute of Technology campuses in Delhi and Guwahati, where Sayantan worked on biosensor systems and bio-remediation. Sayantan also undertook research as an undergraduate at Amity University, gaining a comprehensive skill set in various biotechnological techniques. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Amity University, Noida.
