Alex Bladon

Alex Bladon has worked in the field of bioinformatics since 2011. Alex began their career as an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellow at the University of Manchester in 2011. In 2012, they joined Illumina as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist in the Clinical Genomics business unit, where they were responsible for experimental design, data analysis, algorithm prototyping and software development to support the launch of clinical products. Alex also served as a Senior Manager, Bioinformatics, and Bioinformatics Scientist 1 and 2. In 2021, they became Manager, Cell Informatics at Mogrify.

Alex Bladon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theoretical Physics from The University of Manchester in 2012. Prior to that, they received an MPhys in Physics with Theoretical Physics from The University of Manchester in 2009.
