As a former investment banker and seasoned executive in the gaming industry, Alex has over 15 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and development. He is the current President of the West Region for PureStar, a unified family of commercial laundry companies spanning 3 countries and 25 U.S. markets across North America.
Alex started as an analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on the $638M IPO of Jackson Hewitt and Disney’s $7.5B acquisition of Pixar. He then joined Silver Pacific Advisors, LLC, a boutique investment firm in the gaming and real estate space.
During his 11 years as a gaming executive, Alex employed innovative strategies to drive revenue and grow market share at MGM and Caesars Entertainment. He was the opening General Manager of MGM Springfield Casino Resort & Spa, where he oversaw operations at the $950M resort. In 2019, he was brought in as President and COO to shepherd the $825mm sale of Circus Circus Hotel & Resort.
Dixon’s volunteer experience is also quite extensive. In March 2020, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak asked Alex to serve as 1 of 8 Nevadans on The Nevada COVID-19 Response, Relief and Recovery Task Force. He is also a board member on the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Chair-Elect of the Vegas Chamber of Commerce, former Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, President of the Las Vegas Urban League Young Professionals, and appointed to the Committee on Community Priorities.
Dixon graduated from Howard University in Washington DC in 2003 and is a proud husband and father of three.
